Balaton-Highlands National Park

The Balaton-Highlands National Park preserves unique natural values, cultural monuments and a rich flora and fauna. Natural Treasures. The diversity of the environment includes geological features of interest such as basalt columns.
Protected Areas.
Nature trails and excursions: the park offers visitors a number of nature trails and excursions to explore different parts of the area and its attractions. Cultural Heritage: the area is also home to a number of cultural and historical monuments such as old buildings, castles and churches.
Educational Programmes: the Balaton Uplands National Park offers a wide range of educational and cultural programmes, particularly on nature conservation and sustainability.

 In our area you can find the Pele Circuit trail, which was the trail of the year in 2014. The 30-minute walk can be guided by appointment for a fee on weekdays. Depending on the group's needs, the guided tour can be combined with a lecture or a stream survey, which can last 1-1.5 hours.
