Felsőörs, Forrás-hill
The area of the old quarry is not only a pleasant place to visit, but is also of great geological and historical importance. Here you can see internationally renowned finds from the Triassic period.
At the edge of the settlement, a green tourist sign leads to a short tour (about 0.6 km), which reveals the internationally renowned geological, paleontological and stratigraphic curiosities of the former quarry. The trail starts from Malomvölgyi Street, clearly marked by a sign.
A canopy wall and three information panels along the forest trail detail the sediments of the Triassic Tethys basin and the fossilized world of the Earth's long history of volcanic activity, dating back 200-245 million years.
While in Felsőörs, it is also worth visiting the Árpád-era Prepost church, which has the 2nd oldest organ in Hungary.
