In 1985, the renovation of the former Roman Catholic school and chapel in Alsóörs was started, along with the construction of the Roman Catholic church. The Roman Catholic parish of Alsóörs was in Paloznak from 1799, and from 1941 to 1945 it was in Oberörs.
In 1925, the church bought land on which a chapel was built, including a belfry. Until 1936 a sacristy and a priest's house were added. In 1945, due to an increase in the number of children, a Roman Catholic school was founded and temporarily housed in the chapel, with the altar enclosed by a folding plank wall.
In 2011, the Archbishop of Veszprém consecrated the prayer hall as a church in honour of Blessed Gizella. Between 2015 and 2016 the parish was built.
