LéleKzet Contemporary Visual Arts Exhibition

A contemporary exhibition opens in Lovas about the power of nature and the connection between the soul and the landscape, titled LéleKzeT.

This summer, Lovas, located in the Balaton Uplands, will host a unique contemporary visual arts exhibition. The LéleKzeT exhibition will open on August 1st in the three rooms of the Nagy Gyula Gallery and the Lovas Harbor Kultbistro. Through paintings, photographs, installations, and graphic works, the exhibition explores our intimate yet tension-filled relationship with nature. The title of the exhibition is inspired by the word "breath," which can be traced back to the word "soul," and this very connection is at the heart of the exhibition.

Selected contemporary artworks are brought to life through organic subject matter: the elemental phenomena of nature, the natural images rooted within us, and the human memories connected to them. The artists investigate the vitality inherent in nature, the search for eternity, and the promise of renewal, while representing our connection to the living world through personal reflections.

Among the exhibiting painters are Robert Lak, Olga Tobreluts, József Szurcsik, Attila Kondor, Szilárd Cseke, Naomi Devil, Sándor Csala, Kati Verebics, Orsolya Lia Vető, Mihály Bucskó, Anna Révész, István Szirányi, Gábor Szerényi, Boldizsár Kő, Suzanne Csikós-Nagy, Péter Gálhidy, Ábel Péterfy, Ági Szikra, while in the photography section, works by Zsolt Balázs, Ákos Pilló, Dávid Valkó, Cedric Af Geijersstam, Attila Haid, and Tamás Dobos reflect on nature without humans.

According to the curatorial concept, nature before and after humanity simultaneously carries both beauty and threat. The transformed earth, the traces of destruction, and the reclaiming power of nature are present in the images—depicting a new, post-human reality, where the traces of humanity are only faint shadows.

The exhibition will be opened on August 1st by composer István Márta, honorary president of the Hungarian Festivals Association. Guitarist Kornél Nesztinger will perform at the opening.

Among the related events, there are two exciting programs: on August 8th, cultural journalist Adrienne Farkas will hold a discussion with the exhibiting artists, including József Szurcsik, Boldizsár Kő, and Naomi Devil. On August 15th, director and choreographer Csaba Horváth will hold a personal guided tour of the exhibition.

Curators: Áron Kuthi, Anikó L. Fábián, Éva Szilléry (Standby Project).
